PREFACE
By hiring Lydia Paige (hereinafter referred to as the "Artist") you, the Client, agree that you have read and understand the following terms.
1. NEGOTIATION
- The Artist may decline proposed work for any reason they see fit, and are not required to provide a reason.
- Prices that the Artist has listed online do not constitute a quote and will not be honored to all clients equally. It is the responsibility of the Client to give a thorough description of the work that they want in order to receive an accurate quote.
- As such, base prices are subject to change due to the nature of the work. This includes, but is not limited to, complexity of characters, environments, and additional subjects.
2. RESTRICTIONS
- The Client may not assume that the Artist will illustrate their proposed idea, and must inquire if their theme is acceptable in the event that it strongly differs from the Artist's typical work.
3. COMMUNICATION
- All communication with the Artist must be conducted through e-mail. Contact made to the Artist through any other means are not reliable and may go unnoticed.
- For initial contact with the Artist, the Client must provide their online username in the subject of the e-mail.
- When providing reference material, the Client shall send images as attachments to the e-mail, not as links to third party websites.
- If the Client wishes to send reference material that is not suitable for all ages, the Client must give prominent warning to the Artist.
4. TIME OF PAYMENT
- Following the agreement of a price, the Client is responsible to send payment within 30 days to the Artist's PayPal account. Failing to do so will result in being removed from the Artist's queue.
- All freelance work is required to be paid in full before the Artist may begin work. Pieces under $100 must be paid in one installment. Payment plans are available to the Client for work over $100.
5. COMPLETION OF ARTWORK
- Unless stated otherwise in the negotiation phase, the Artist shall complete all assignments without providing preliminary sketches or intermediate consultation.
- The Client shall be responsible for making additional payments for changes to the original assignment. However, no additional payment shall be made for changes required to conform to the original assignment description.
6. CANCELLATION
- In the event of cancellation of the assignment, the Artist is entitled to keep a portion of the payment for work they have provided. If the assignment is more than 50% completed, no refund will be available to the Client and the assignment will be completed.
7. ARTIST'S RIGHTS
- The Artist retains ownership of all artwork. By default, no rights will be transferred to the Client, other than personal use of the image. The Client does not have the legal grounds to use any assignment commercially.
8. CREDIT LINES
- The Artist shall received a credit line with any public use of the image.
9. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
- By hiring the Artist, the Client agrees to the above terms.
